Melbourne City Ballet- Alice in Wonderland (Youth Workshops)
Sun 24 Mar

The Plaza will present Melbourne City Ballet’s touring season “Alice In Wonderland” for Waikato audiences on 31st March 2019. The evening will showcase the company’s beautiful artists as they perform the company’s most signature work, showing audiences why this company has grown such a strong following across the country over the past few years. Alice In Wonderland features intricate footwork, dazzling costumes and an emotionally intoxicating storyline that will have audiences captivated from beginner to end. The Plaza is very excited to offer young Waikato artists the chance to work alongside Melbourne City Ballet’s performing artists in their production of “Alice In Wonderland”. On 31st March 2019 Melbourne City Ballet’s company artists will visit Putaruru to perform a workshop with young dance enthusiasts to work on technique and teach their classical repertoire. At the end of the day, a small number of lucky participants will have the chance to perform at The Plaza with the company. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity with very limited places available for the day so we encourage you to book quickly. Registrations are $10 for this workshop. Please note we have decided to add in a second workshop due to demand for these. The first workshop is at 3pm and the second is at 4pm. We will list these on Eventfinda once we have had confirmation from Melbourne City Ballet about whether they would like to split the age range. We will share the ticketing links once these have been confirmed.
